我們是一群熱愛香港、努力追求民主和自由的香港人。香港政府以一言堂將市民蒙蔽於真相之外，顛倒是非黑白，縱容警隊暴力，民間反對聲音被無理打壓。所以我們決定自行組成民間記者會，集合更多未被主流媒體報導的聲音，駁斥政府及警隊千篇一律的謊言。
We are a group of Hong Kongers, who love Hong Kong ardently, fighting for freedom and democracy in Hong Kong. The singular and false discourse led by the Hong Kong authorities aims to twist the truth, keep citizens in the dark, harbour police brutality, and muffle any voices of reason and opposition. So we founded the Citizens’ Press Conference to recover and broadcast the voices of the people, and to rectify and to debunk the blatant lies told relentlessly by the Government and the Police.
