民居附近放催淚彈，涉嫌違反《公安條例》第17條中，表明警務人員在阻止公眾聚集舉行，或停止或解散公眾聚集時，只可以使用「合理所需的武力」。而過份武力對待被拘捕人士，在沒有合理辨解下，亦可能違反《侵害人身罪條例》各條。

(a)(b)防暴警察對採訪記者極不友善，多次惡言呼喝記者，表示不要阻礙警察執行職務（「唔好阻住我地做野」）阻擋拍攝鏡頭，而且企圖驅趕記者離開現場。這涉嫌違反警察通例 (39-05)，警務人員應盡可能協助新聞媒體工作者的採訪工作。

在2019年10月1日16：13，荃灣大河道中附近有示威者左邊胸口被槍打中，不斷高呼：「我心口好痛」，並且有大量血液從心口湧出。期間記者不斷問示威者名稱，其自稱曾志健（同音），為數月示威以來首次有示威者中實彈。
