In Mongkok, Kowloon, Police attacked journalist by pepper spray. Ted Hui Chi-fung the lawmaker requested the police concerned to show his number or identity however in vain. Hong Kong Police also suppressed freedom of press by pushing and pointing flashlights at journalists.

大批速龍小隊警員及防暴警察衝入元朗站，以警棍追打在場示威者及市民，有人比打至流血，片段中未顯示示威者本身與警員並有任何接觸或衝擊警方防線，而警方衝入元朗站追打並帶走數名示威者。這涉嫌違反《公安條例》第17條中，表明警務人員在阻止公眾聚集舉行，或停止或解散公眾聚集時，只可以使用「合理所需的武力」。而過份武力對待被拘捕人士，在沒有合理辨解下，亦可能違反《侵害人身罪條例》各條。
